Fantasy Delivery. We realize that the delivery of our
bird cages is a large purchase and a very large item. Now you
can tailor make this purchase to suit your needs. All cages
that are 26" x 21" and larger are all shipped by Freight.
DAMAGED MERCHANDISE AND CAGE
SHIPMENTS: Damages should
be reported within 24 hours of receipt if possible. CAGE SHIPMENTS
NEED to be inspected at time of delivery, BE ADVISED: Trucking
companies will give you a paper to sign and lead you to believe
that you are accepting the delivery but what you are actually
signing is that the shipment is in perfect condition!! So
please don?t sign that the carton is in good condition, if
it is not. Even if someone else is accepting your shipment,
this needs to be paid attention to. Freight companies do not
want to wait while you open cartons, so instead make a comment
on the paper that they ask you to sign, that you will be inspecting
for possible damage to your shipment. If damage IS NOT signed
for at time of delivery, YOU will need to put your own claim
in with the trucking company. If damage is signed for, we
will take care of any claim work that might be necessary and
get you any replacements pieces as soon as we can.
NOTE: For your information, the cages will
break down into smaller units when necessary to either load
into a vehicle or carry into your home. The very largest size
cages (the Maui and the Grand Caymen) do have individual pieces
that are still very heavy and quite large.
BUSINESS DELIVERY: This is the least expensive
delivery that will give you the most savings. This must be
an actual place of business, not a home-based business. A
WORD OF CAUTION: Keep in mind that the shipment must be signed
for upon receipt and you are signing that this package is
in perfect delivered shape, not that it has been received.
So if someone other then yourself does sign acceptance of
the package, please keep this in mind, as this is still your
responsibility (please see information above under damaged
merchandise)
RESIDENTIAL CURBSIDE DELIVERY: (This adds
$50 to your shipment.) If you prefer you can choose to have
your cage shipped to your home residence, this option is available
at an additional cost. Residential delivery is a curbside
delivery only. Since we ship the cages on a pallet you will
need to help the driver get the item off the truck. The carton
can, of course, be removed from the pallet upon delivery to
make this easy. The cage can also be removed from the carton
and taken off the truck in parts as well. Please NOTE: In
a few rare cases, remote areas might have an additional delivery
charge added onto them. Although it is extremely rare, we
will call you if this might apply to your delivery location.
RESIDENTIAL LIFT-GATE DELIVERY: (This adds
$96 to your shipment.) This service is available as a curbside
residential delivery but also offers a lift-gate service as
an option to your delivery. Although we find that this is
not usually necessary, as you can remove the cage from the
pallet, open the box and take the cage out part by part, it
is an available option.
RESIDENTIAL LIFT-GATE INSIDE DELIVERY: (This
adds $138 to your shipment.) This is the most deluxe service
available. If you choose this option, your cage will be delivered
to your residence and inside your home. The cartons will not
be opened for you, but will be set just inside your home by
the front door.
Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and Canada: Because
of the size of our cages, any cage shipped to these areas,
will have to be on a case by case shipment. We will need your
shipping information, and we will have to get a quote, which
can take up to 3 days to receive from our shipping companies.
